Top tips for Travel Videos

How can I make sure my video has the best chance of being accepted?

To improve chances of having your video accepted, follow these guidelines:

  • Film 2-3 key areas of the property, like the exterior, rooms, dining, or pool, along with activities like yoga or spa. Combine them to showcase a variety of experiences.
  • Don't submit videos that are a single continuous shot, contain only still images, or have close-ups without context.
  • Avoid artificial lighting, extreme angles such as 360-degree spins or inverted shots, and unnecessary filters or transitions.
  • Avoid featuring yourself or other identifiable people in the video. Crowds and anonymous individuals are acceptable when captured from behind.
  • Avoid mentioning or showcasing brands or properties not available on Expedia Group brands.
  • Refrain from including prices, promotional information, discount claims, or time-sensitive details.
  • Do not use calls to action that can't apply across all social media sites (e.g., “Link in bio!”).
  • Ensure videos are free from text, graphics, watermarks, logos, or emojis.
